Columbine is Colorado's State Flower.

The trail back through a boulder field.

And for perspective, a look back at the same boulder field from further down the trail.

A final look back at Wetterhorn, before losing it in the trees.

Kinder, gentler trails down into the valley.

One beautiful sight. Terri is in the red jeep - with pizza!!!

While I was climbing, Terri had taken this great shot of Wetterhorn (left of center) from the highway, south of Lake City.

From the trailhead we would take jeep trails west, back to Ouray over Engineer Pass.

We wound up driving into a mountain thunderstorm, and debated electrical engineering fundamentals.

A view of Mt. Sneffels from Engineer Pass. I told Terri yes, you really did climb that yesterday.

The road was interesting.

With clouds below us.

More interesting roads. Passing vehicles coming the other way was especially stimulating.
