After climbing all day, it sure felt good to look up and see nothing but sky.

Feelin' good at 14,150'.

One more quick rest on the south face before heading back.

If you wonder why people subject themselves to Scree Col, it's because it gets kinda "airy" out here on the open face.

You can actually see our jeep at the trailhead if you view this in full size.

Terri maneuvers back through The Notch.

The joy of the summit fades a bit when you realize you still have to get down. Time to slaughter another set of muscles.

Back in the saddle again. Terri eyes the darkening clouds. The joy is fading fast...

If possible, going down through the scree on Lavender Col was even more unpleasant than coming up.

The storms building over the next ridge were really beginning to worry me.

Lightning is the most dangerous thing up here and we needed to get down, and fast. With fading legs, Terri crabs down as fast as possible.

Finally it flattened out enough to make some time. And the storm thankfully pushed north.

Almost back to the jeep.

Back on the road, it was great to see God's floral arrangements.
