On our way down we met this
ambulance brigade, which was headed back up the trail. We were
told they carried down 25 climbers on the day we tried to
summit.
Back at the gate we
thanked and tipped our porters. The life of a porter is not
an easy one.
After just 6 days, riding in a
vehicle back to the hotel had become a novelty.
Cow.
Life back in Moshi. We were
very ready to see civilization again.
I don't know if I will
ever go back to Kilimanjaro. But I will forever be grateful
we had the chance to experience it once.
