It was nice to catch a breather, but time to move on to try and beat afternoon thunderstorms.

We headed up Sneffels' south ridge, protected between rock ribs on either side.

The view to the top.

Lots of rest stops are required above 13,000 feet. Sometimes it feels good to look back at your progress.

The snow patch shown here was not deep, but it was tricky - it was good to get past it.

Near the summit you have to locate "The Notch", where you climb left out of the gully and onto open solid rock just under the summit. Terri is approaching here, just a couple of moves to go...

She is AWESOME !!!!

The summit register is in a sealed tube.

It always feels good to get your name on the list.

Yeah baby.

The view to the west from Sneffels is amazing.

And this is the view back to the east. The peak on the horizon, directly over my head, is Wetterhorn Peak, which I would attempt the next day.

Typical Freeman arms-length summit photo.
